London Fashion Week is off and running, but of course I am still stuck in New York, catching up on the last of the shows and loving the sparkles, sequins, and bright colors that are making up the bottom half of looks.
3.1 Philip Lim, Alice+Oliva, Jill Stuart, and Rachel Roy among others all featured shiny, patterned, silk, or anything but plain pants. Marc Jacobs and even Oscar de la Renta moved the sequins (deep jewel colors for de la Renta) over into knee length skirts, but I am still partial to the pants version. They can easily go from brunch to a night out and even dressed up as office wear.
This reminds me of my 2 favorites, Isabel Marant and Balmain, from a few seasons ago. Isabel Marant made to die for sequined pants that paired easily with denim button downs and messy hair. Instant chic. Will you be rocking the sparkles come fall?
