Friday Chic: Floral

2013.8.1floraFullFloral prints have always been a go-to in fashion and have covered everything from bags to skirts to blazers. Not being much of a print girl, I find it hard to convert those styles into something that feels inherently me. But one of the best ways to bring color, print or something unusual into an outfit is through a scarf; yes, those little pieces of fabric lying around your mom’s closet or the thrift store. The one here is actually the hem of an old dress I thrifted. My mom cut it off, sewed it together, and I automatically had a floral scarf. Admittedly, I don’t even wear this too often, but when I am searching for that right bit of floral, I’ve got it.

PS – Happy Friday! It might just be me, but this was a LONG week. I’m looking forward to a weekend of working at Baggio, seeing a friend’s band play, visiting with my husband’s grandparents and a relaxing Sunday. What do you have going on this weekend?
