A good accessory (or two or three), can completely make an outfit. Take this dress for instance. It is my go-to for work when I want something quick and easy. I have styled it with a blazer and pumps for formal meetings and with a sweater and sandals for casual days. A printed dress (or top or pants) can be easily remembered if you style them the same way every time. The key to creating a wardrobe that does double duty is to look at your pieces as your own personal styling challenge. What shoes, belts, jackets or accessories can you mix and match to create a totally unique look every time? For this dress, on this particular day, I wanted some color to pop and some to blend in. Enter: a mustard belt and tortoise necklace. From there, as any good fashion blogger will do, it’s easy math to grab an army jacket and great shoes (I could easily see brogues or a wedge with this version of the outfit as well!). Solving a style challenge shouldn’t be seen as difficult, but rather a fun way to experienment with your wardrobe. After all, they really are just clothes. So have fun!
