As much as I love a good structured piece or statement shoes, there is just something so relaxing about dressing for comfort while still remaining chic and put together. This is Look 2 in my week long series on styling a maxi skirt three diferent ways and a maxi skirt for casual comfort is amazing. This is a look I wore a few weeks back to work at Baggio (an upscale consignment store where I’m learning some retail ropes and little things, like how to correctly pronounce designer names. A freebie for you: Givenchy = Ghee-von-chee. Who knew??). While it can be all too easy for a maxi skirt to veer into overly comfy or not so classy territory, I keep it chic with three simple rules: 1) always do your hair in an up-do, 2) layer with a shrunken or fitted jacket, and 3) choose one standout accessory.
For this look I used a tutorial from Wendy’s Look Book, my trusty H&M light wash denium jacket (perfect for summer! I also have a dark one for fall/winter) and a beaded bracelet bought in NYC, so it’s one of a kind. The rest of the look is super simple, easy, and perfect for errands, shopping, or even traveling.
