Trunk Bay, St. John, US Virgin Islands
Every day featured a beach that looked almost like this one: white sands, clear water, and amazing snorkeling. Out of the seven days that we were there, we only spent three away from the water, and that was to recover from the all day activities of swimming and soaking up the rays. Trunk Bay is noted as one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world and it’s easy to see why. Our first visit there, we stayed to the left side of the huge island in the middle. We snorkeled around the island, following the marked trail they had. The next visit we ventured to the far left where we had an almost private inlet to ourselves. We snorkeled, of course, and watched pelicans dive. It’s amazing that these are the beaches the locals have. It’s enough to make you want to move just for the water. What is your favorite beach? Have you been to any of the top ten beaches in the world?
