Styled: Anna Bingerman

Anna Bingerman lays claims to being in the HollyWood Reporter’s top 5 power house stylists.  And it’s no wonder when she works for some one Hollywood’s leading ladies to include Tina Fey, Uma Thurman (a 5 year working relationship), Naomi Watts and Gwyneth Paltrow.  Not only does she style these ladies for Red Carpet and speaking events, she frequently works on movies such as Eyes Wide Shut and The Impossible.  She took her fashion prowess and love of jewelry and teamed up with the jewelry line Chamilia, a luxury take on the personalized charm bracelets of our childhood.  Her personal take on jewelry revolves around a lot of black, warm gold, and simple items that become a part of her, staying on through flights, sleep, shower and every day life.  Ms. Bingerman takes a unique approach to styling – preferring to stay away from “it” trends (the It Bag for example) and branding and letting herself or her client’s personality and individuality come through.  As for her favorite trend?  A little pop of color against a black or muted background:  “I would only go with a flash of it and would leave the hot pink t-shirt to my daughter!”

The interesting details:

1. She’s flexible – she’s dressed celebrities in places such as a yacht.

2. She is an Aussie native.

3. European designers such as Pucci, Chanel, and Versace are among her top favorites.

4. She started her styling career “on accident” when she styled Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise for their movie Eyes Wide Shut.

5.  Previous experience prior to styling was assisting photographers with technical details.  Next time you see Uma, Tina, or Gwyenth on the Red Carpet, do a little searching and see if Anna isn’t the fantastic stylist behind their show stopping looks.
