Sunday Chic: Crisp Textures

A search for the perfect “fall woods” led to this discovery down by a bright blue lake with just the right amount of leaves on the ground and bare trees to make me jump out of the car for a quick photo-op.  Needless to say, heels were not the best idea I’ve ever had, but you’ve seen stranger things in editorials right?

I pulled these straight legged GAP jeans circa 1990 out of a stack in my closet and decided they would look just right glammed up with pointed black pumps, plenty of textures in a soft short cape top, down black vest and silk top, and blindingly gold bag, a thrifted find while in Hawaii a few years ago.  The women kept trying to convince me it was a famous designer, little did she know famous names were no match for the bag’s ostentatious factor.

Outfit details: silk top, thrifted; short sleeved cape top, H&M via Plato’s Closet; black vest, thrifted; jeans, GAP; heels, Aldo; scarf, purchased at the Festival of India; necklace worn as bracelet, Target; earrings, vintage; bag, thrifted.

Location: West End, Richmond

Photographer: Andrew

  1. Thank you! They are definitely old and have gone back and forth between jeans I wear every day and old beat up ones I paint in. They seem to be back in the wear every day rotation!

Something to say? Do it here.
